Ethos Veterinary Health is Hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician Near Spokane, WA
Veterinary Surgical Specialist (Spokane, WA) is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician with a passion for surgery and anesthesia to join our surgical team, where you will work alongside our board-certified veterinary surgeon. You will work in the beautiful Pacific Northwest; you can live and work under the bluest of blue skies with countless outdoor activities, including downhill skiing, hiking, biking, excellent restaurants, and numerous cultural activities. Schedule: This is a full-time day-shift position. Veterinary Surgical Specialists is open Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.
Technical abilities and skills
- Induction, management, and recovery of anesthesia
- Knowledge of common medications and filling medications
- Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and have a commitment to building relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community, which is essential.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
- The ability to deliver exceptional client service
- Proficient with administering subcutaneous fluids and injections, intramuscular and intravenous injections, intravenous catheters, CRIs, and calculations.
- Surgical prep and assisting
- Instrument and equipment sterilization and maintenance
- Diagnostic imaging
- Knowledge of fluid pumps and fluid setup, including syringe pumps and administration
- Two or more years of experience with veterinary appointments performing the above duties. (Required)
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) (Required)
- Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires a lot of lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion.
